The Tahitian Princess Cruise Liner made an unexpected stop over in Sydney on July 22/2009 due to fog and ice in Greenland. To the Museum’s surprise a bus of 55 passengers stopped in for a visit to the enjoyment of all volunteers. A wonderful friendly group of people and Frankie a staff member from the Cruise Ship was on hand as well.
Lots of laughs and great conversations went on between the visitors and the volunteers and we all hope we see the Tahitian Princess visit the Sydney Port in Nova Scotia again. Make a stop here again at the Whitney Pier Historical Museum and we will have the Tea and Coffiee and our famous Oat Cake treats on hand again. Thank you all for making our day as volunteers so enjoyable !! Please enjoy the photo’s below we took and please email us yours. wphm@syd.eastlink.ca
