            The Whitney Pier Historical Museum 2009 Heritage Tea
   The Board of Directors would like to express our thanks to all who have joined us for the Tuesday Afternoon Tea’s.  Special thanks to ALVIN AND THE ARTIFACTS and to FIVE + ONE BAND FOR ENTERTAINING US. SEE YOU ALL SUMMER 2010.

On July 21st/2009 we had a special treat at the afternoon Tea. Six Men arrived to play for us. They are Called ‘FIVE + ONE’. Everyone in attendence enjoyed a sing-a-long and Jokes and dancers took to the floor. It was a great surprise for us all today. This group will again join us for the Action Week Celebrations August 4th/2009 at the Museum and play for our Afternoon Community Heritage Tea. You don’t want to miss this. Special thanks to the CBRM Trekkers for there participation on Tuesdays with us and for asking the band to volunteer and play for us. Members of Five + One are: Ken MacAskill [ST. Catherines Ontario], Russell MacInnis [Breton Cove Cabot Trail], Fred Leey [Westmount NS], Cecil MacArthur [ Sydney Forks], Donald MacLeod [Sydney River NS] and Peter Porier [ Cheticamp now Sydney].

The Whitney Pier Historical Museum is proud to host tours to Cruise Ship passengers from around the world from April to the end of October.

  4. Had a great time at the 20th Anniversary Dance. Hats off to all the volunteers who made the evening so enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. Next time I am in Sydney, I will definitely visit the museum again. Hope to make it to the next anniversary dance…
